Well, this is a long story to this Blog - a story told by 2 entrepreneurs who made their wealth in real estate, had a dream to help others achieve wealth thru real estate, and got kicked in the knees, stomped on the ground, and in the process, not only did they lose all of their net worth…but so did fellow trusting students of theirs. 

Why and How did this happen - let the story now unfold of true tales of how a frivolous lawsuit by First Magnus was the major bullet of destruction.  Upon the first wounding of our company, it seems our business relations turned into a classic animal kingdom episode.  In nature, predators attack the weak, the wounded and we have just discovered how human nature amongst some of NW Florida’s ”finest” imitates the wild.  You see, all of a sudden, our business relations felt it was perfectly fine to then ‘forget’ about the over $1.3 Million owed to us, not realizing the impact that would have on the folks we in turn owed money to.  Later in this blog I will go into far greater detail about the roles of all parties - Panama City &  Destin, Florida Developers, Builders, Realtors, and Appraisors.

 But first, let’s talk about the heavy bullet from First Magnus that critically wounded our company, Panther Valley Funding (also known as Fat CAt Real Estate).  First Magnus utilized tactics to defame our character before given a chance to prove our innocence.  These tactics include:

1. Telephone calls being made from First Magnus or its agents to most of the folks we do business with - developers and business associates in Florida and other parts of the country which caused us to lose one business relationship with a substantial developer…to the tune of $10 Million dollar loss…and other relations that brought in revenue to the company.

2. Internet Defamation of Character - First Magnus assured that the information was placed on mortgagefraudblog.com so that the damages to us from the allegations presented were tried in the Court of public opinion within days after the filing of their Complaint in February, 2007.

3. Factual Misrepresentations in their claim to further give the perception that we have done wrong.  For instance, First Magnus has even claimed we owned and sold properties in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at inflated prices to ’straw buyers’ …which is absolutely amazing since we actually never, not once in our lives, owned any property in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
